I am passionate about sports medicine acupuncture because of its awesome ability to promote healing of muscles, ligaments, tendons, and bones. Being a former martial artist and athlete, I understand the frustration that comes from any injury that prevents you from participating in the activities you love. That is why I am committed to do my best to return you to health as quickly as possible so you can get back to your routine and perform at your best.  I have treated hockey players, cyclists, triathletes, rowers, and volleyball players for conditions such as tendinitis, partial tears, sprains, back pains and many others. I am confident that sports medicine acupuncture can most likely help you, too.

Research shows that expectant mothers, who had cervical ripening or pre-birth acupuncture, have shorter labor times and better chances at delivering their babies naturally instead of by C-section. Acupuncture does this by preparing the cervix and pelvic wall muscles; it opens hormone receptors and increases circulations to the reproductive organs; it boosts energy by soothing digestion and improving sleep; and it calms fear and anxiety so you’re ready both physically and emotionally for the big day. Weekly treatment sessions begin at 37th week of pregnancy. I look forward to helping you have the most harmonious birth experience possible.

If you are recovering after having major hip or knee replacement surgery, acupuncture and Chinese Massage can be effective complements to your existing rehabilitation regiment. Many of my patients use acupuncture and Chinese Massage to sooth their pains, release tightness, expand their range of motion, and improve strength, while on their way to a speedier recovery. Even if you’ve had your surgery many years ago and are still dealing with recovery issues– don’t give up– acupuncture may still benefit you.

Are you stressed from work or the various demands or your very busy day? Need relief from the tension in your neck, shoulders and back? Let deep-tissue, relaxing Chinese Massage or gentle, soothing acupuncture sessions reinvigorate you.  You will feel the benefits from your improved sleep, extra energy, and being a calmer more focus you.

I have over 5 years of experience in acupuncture and Chinese Massage. I was educated in Canada and received my acupuncture training and license in Vancouver, British Columbia. I traveled to Taiwan and did my practicum in the Traditional Chinese Medicine department of a major Western medicine hospital, where I learnt first hand, how eastern and western medicine can be integrated to wholly benefit the patient. That’s why I choose to work in a multi-disciplinary clinic, along side other healthcare professionals, to ensure the best care for all of my patients.

I speak fluent Mandarin and Taiwanese.
